About Moon Magic

Coming from a broken home & low-income neighborhood experiencing trauma, abuse, & alcoholism, Moon Magic AKA the Hip Hop Witch, found her voice & her power in her music. Moon Magic is the name, flows is what she does; Following Life’s Outcome Willingly (acronym by Acronologist G Simone). Rooted in the belief that music can act as a channel for alchemy allowing us to heal, empower, & transform.  Moon Magic is a Hip Hop artist, educator, emcee, producer, DJ, and tarot reader. Moon Magic has a Master’s in Urban Education, Bachelor’s in Political Science, & two minors with a focus in Multicultural Leadership & Spanish. An Elementary school teacher & California kid, Moon Magic made her artist debut in the Sacramento scene in 2017 & has since opened for well-renowned acts such as Oshun, The Grouch & Murs, Tajai & A-Plus from Hieroglyphics, Vel Nine & Teacha KRS-One. Moon Magic has toured throughout the United States and internationally. She's toured through the MidWest and West Coast with Bay Area’s own SLAPFROST along with touring throughout the UK and California with Teacha KRS-One. Most recently, she went on a Northern California tour run with Vel Nine and Queens of the Underground. Raised as a baby in the analog age, but matured in the digital, Moon Magic’s sound is inspired by the raw lyricism & sounds of legends like J. Cole, MF DOOM, KRS-One, Guru, & Erykah Badu. Moon Magic is an old soul with a fresh perspective searching for authenticity in a world that often teaches us to hate ourselves and strips us from our truth.
