Moon Magic, is a wizard with her flow & lyrical content. An independent Hip Hop artist, healer, MC, educator, Word Wizard, Shadow Worker, tarot card reader, Druid Priestess of the Moon, & self-proclaimed witch in Sacramento, California. Raised in a low-income community, in a broken home, with sexual & physical violence, & alcoholism, her music is an honest reflection of her inner struggles, healing, & journey to unlearning & relearning what it means to live authentically & in harmony with all relatives of this Earth. A school teacher with a Master's in Urban Education & supporting Bachelor's degrees in Political Science, Multicultural Leadership, & Spanish who left the traditional classroom in 2019. Sometimes writing straight fiery, passionate, witty, & sarcastic bars calling out these systems & other times reflecting deeper within on her own inability to know how to always rise to the occasion, but certainly not afraid to get her hands dirty & do the work. As someone who is called an old soul & was born in the 90s, she pulls inspiration from the Golden Era of Hip Hop with her beat selection, execution, style, & delivery, while her melodic flow is heavily inspired by Soul & Blues artists such as Erykah Badu & Janis Joplin. Her sound feels familiar, yet uniquely stands on it's own reaching topics that are commonly unspoken.
